This year’s winter exhibition was held on the 23rd and 24th of November and was a huge success. It was great to see so many visitors enjoying the delicious refreshments and buying so many paintings. Our thanks to all who supported this popular event. The winner of the Favourite Picture Award as voted by the visiting public was Malcolm Clayson who received the award from the Mayor of Hinckley and Bosworth and retains the trophy until the spring exhibition in May next Year. Join us for this year’s Winter Exhibition – as always at Peckleton Village Hall from 10am to 4pm on 23rd and 24th November. Affordable and original art by local artists together with tea, coffee, soup and delicious home-made cakes to enjoy while you browse.
This year’s winter exhibition will take place at Peckleton Village Hall on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th November from 10am to 4pm on both days. Come and see the wide range of art on display for sale at affordable prices. Sample a delicious selection of homemade soups, rolls and fabulous cakes in our cafe. Admission is free. Well worth a visit.
Our Spring Exhibition this year as always displayed a very high standard of artworks covering a wide range of different media. The fine weather enabled us to introduce a little café culture with tables in front of the village hall and with all the delicious refreshments on offer this proved to be very popular.
This year’s winner of the Favourite Picture award as voted by the visiting public was Angela Thomas and the Best in Show award, as voted by members, was won by Lorraine Richardson.
The awards were presented by Hinckley and Bosworth Deputy Mayor, Jan Kirby. Congratulations to Angela and Lorraine and our thanks to Jan.

This year’s winter exhibition was a great success.
The weather was kind over the weekend and with some great artworks on display and delicious refreshments on offer both days were very busy.
Radio Leicester put us firmly on the map early Sunday morning with their ever popular ‘Clueless’programme. The first clue directed the team to Peckleton village hall where Jude, very professionally, live on air greeted our guests. The second clue was located behind Anne-Marie’s picture ‘Midnight Sunflowers’ and they were on their way.
Congratulations to Lenny Moule whose picture was voted the exhibition’s favourite.
With an increasingly diverse range of subjects and media this event is becoming more and more popular. Our thanks for all the support.

Our Spring Exhibition this year displayed a very high standard of artworks ranging from textiles and felting to more traditional oils and watercolours. Upwards of 250 people visited the exhibition over the weekend. The winner of the Favourite Picture award as voted by the visiting public was Jan Foster with her watercolour “Springtime.” Jan’s picture also shared the Best in Show award, as voted by members, with Dave Freer’s picture “My Mate Ron.”
The awards were presented by County Councillor Janice Richards. Congratulations to Jan and Dave and our thanks to Councillor Richards.
The Autumn Exhibition was a great success thanks to the high standard of work on display and the fantastic array of refreshments on offer. With over 28% of pictures sold our exhibitions go from strength to strength. Our Spring Exhibition will be 29th and 30th April – we hope to see you there.
Desford and Peckleton Art Club will again be holding its Autumn Exhibition at Peckleton village hall 19th and 20th November. The exhibition will be open from 10am – 4pm on both days and with large selection artworks on display it promises to be as popular as ever.
